Building a powerful work of art, the city’s youngest residents create an impressive installation featuring 16,000 handmade clay bricks.

Clay is a material at the heart of the city of Hull. The city was built on clay and its buildings made from bricks surrounding clay pits.

Each of the 16,000 bricks in this installation bears the unique marks of the young person who made it and offers a platform for every child under five from nurseries, schools and other early years settings to explore their creativity.
